Assoc. Prof. Muhsin Balaban, MD completed his medical education at Marmara University Faculty of Medicine (English programme) between 1998 and 2006, and finished his urology residency at Istanbul Kartal Dr. Lütfi Kırdar Training and Research Hospital in 2011.
During his residency he trained in the United States at the Glickman Urological Institute, Cleveland Clinic (2010) and at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York (2011), and worked as an observer physician at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
After his residency he served at Antakya State Hospital. Since 2014 he has been working as a urologist at Medicana International Istanbul Hospital and sees his patients at the Androfert Men’s Health Clinic in Bahçelievler, Istanbul.
Since 2014 his work has focused on male reproductive and sexual health: he offers both surgical and medical treatment in microsurgical varicocele repair, Micro-TESE, sperm-enhancing therapies, azoospermia, erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, penile curvature and penile aesthetics (thickening and lengthening).
In 2018 he continued his academic career as a lecturer at Biruni University Faculty of Medicine and Beykent University; in 2020 he was awarded the title of Associate Professor of Urology.
In 2019 he received advanced training in azoospermia and male infertility at the ProCrea Swiss Fertility Center in Lugano, Switzerland, and in andrology and varicocele surgery at the San Carlo Clinic in Milan, Italy. He continues to work in coordination with the ProCrea Infertility Center.
He consults in English and Arabic as well as Turkish, and holds the International Health Tourism Authorization for patients travelling from abroad.
Dr. Balaban’s priority is to help men lead a healthier, more confident and higher-quality life, both physically and psychologically.
